Instead of all these developments taking away potential farmland, recreational land, or just green space, we need to focus on locating lots with crumbling houses and build new homes to replace them. It seems illogical to develop natural land (where we could harness its resources with minimal impact with ideas such as forest gardens, animal sanctuaries, etc.) when there is a plethora of housing lots with structures that need to be removed for safety reasons and could easily house new homes.
