The NC Piedmont has plenty of precipitation, compared to other parts of the world where people have learned to live with much less. In addition to conservation and recycling/reuse of water, individuals in our region can do much more to capture and use rainwater at their homes and places of business. New construction designs can include cisterns, and these can also be retrofit to existing structures. Capture the water, slow it down, use it, and let it go back into the system when you're done.
